Griffin Construction recently began street work at Rocking Horse Farm, and the evidence is taking shape. Curb and gutter is being placed around the farmstead office complex and down to 52nd Avenue. This is the Phase I of the project, which is on schedule to be complete with curb, gutter and asphalt by mid September.

Rocking Horse Farm Pond Takes Shape
An attractive water feature at Rocking Horse Farm recently started to take shape. Excavating, Inc. began digging the retention pond located at the northwest corner of the Second Edition. The Rocking Horse Farm pond is a sizable body of water, and serves a practical purpose of collecting runoff from the 134-unit subdivision. It also gives exclusive waterfront property to 10 building lots, which also enjoy views of the Osgood Golf Course greens and fairways.
Despite Record Wet May, RHF Underground Construction is Ahead of Schedule
With 7.85 inches of rainfall, the Fargo area experienced its wettest May in more than 121 years of record keeping by the Monitoring Branch of NOAAS National Centers for Environmental Information. Despite all the moisture, however, the underground construction for Rocking Horse Farm’s Second Addition is about a month ahead of schedule.
Street Construction Bid is 19.4% Under Estimate
Construction bids for the Rocking Horse Farm second addition continue to come in attractively under estimates. Recently, the winning bid for street construction of the 134-lot subdivision was 19.4% under estimates by the City of Fargo. Griffin Construction of Chatfield, Minn., won the project with a low bid of $3.8 million, or $930,000 less than originally projected.
