An attractive water feature at Rocking Horse Farm recently started to take shape. Excavating, Inc. began digging the retention pond located at the northwest corner of the Second Edition.

The Rocking Horse Farm pond is a sizable body of water, and serves a practical purpose of collecting runoff from the 134-unit subdivision. It also gives exclusive waterfront property to 10 building lots, which also enjoy views of the Osgood Golf Course greens and fairways.

Currently an earthen dam holds back a similar-sized pond at the Osgood Golf Course. When construction is complete, the dirt will be removed, thus turning the two ponds into one, large holding pond. It no doubt will be an attractive environment, not only for residents and golfers, but for the myriad wildlife that call Rocking Horse Farm home.
