Exciting changes continue at Rocking Horse Farm. Last week, Dakota Underground broke ground on the 134-lot development, and this week they’ve hauled in more heavy equipment and started to remove the existing rural road.
The first order of business was removal of the asphalt comprising Rocking Horse Circle, the millings of which will be utilized for a new temporary entrance road to the farmstead office park. This will meander east of the old road, but incorporate the existing Rocking Horse Farm entrance.
Occupants of both the white barn and red barn office buildings will utilize the temporary road, while only the red barn occupants will need to utilize a temporary parking lot just to the south of its building. It is expected that this temporary arrangement will last until new roads get installed early this fall.
Based on the current schedule, approximately 75 of the 134 building lots will be ready for construction by mid-October, with the balance homebuilder-ready by July 2016.
